Sierra Molesworth KPA-CTP

Sierra’s passion for dog training began at age 9 in 4H, and by high school, she knew it was her career path. In her early 20s, she worked at an animal shelter, dedicating her life to transforming the lives of shelter dogs. She earned her certification from the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy in January 2017 and engages in continuing education yearly to stay at the forefront of the field.

Sierra’s training approach combines clicker training and positive reinforcement with a holistic philosophy. She believes in honoring each dog’s natural instincts and ensuring their species-specific needs are met before layering in training. Her philosophy is simple: it’s easier to train a dog whose needs are fulfilled!

Currently, Sierra is pursuing her vet tech license to expand her expertise, emphasizing the importance of understanding a dog’s health as part of its training journey. At home, she shares 300 acres in Oregon with her three dogs and three cats. Outside of training, she enjoys hiking, riding 4-wheelers, and practicing yoga.

I believe that great trainers never stop learning, and I’m committed to staying at the forefront of modern, science-based training. Since earning my Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP) certification in 2017, I have continued my education through some of the most respected programs in the industry.
